He was the best--- RIP
Thanks for posting that Roger! I still believe he was one of the best guitar players ever! I was lucky enough to get to meet both Stevie and his Brother Jimmy a few times. And i also got to meet his band, Double Trouble.
One of his cousins married one of my best friends that i grew up with.
Big fan of SRV.

I don't think his blues playing will ever be matched in my lifetime. It was just so natural and seemingly effortless for him. Came from the soul but he was technically proficient as well, unlike a guy like BB King who was abit of a hack. I love to watch those old 'Austin City Limits'.

Great player.
Thanks,

Sure do miss him.

Good stuff
Thanks!!!

One of my favorites.

I love all of SRV's songs, but Pride and Joy will always be my favorite, followed closely by "Texas Flood"
Friend and I were discussing SRV on a recent elk hunting trip and wondered what if.....

My favorite is his remake of Voodoo Chile. The best is watching him just freestyle live on extended solos. This is some great stuff with Albert King:

Yep...
Thought Stevie Ray was the best thing ever happened to Southern Rock and Blues fusion. I've got all his cd's. Couldn't believe it when I heard he was gone. Incredible talent. RIP, Stevie Ray
