And if the Republicans puck it up, bad things, very bad things will follow.

Agree! But we can't rely on Republicans in the Senate. We have got to elect a Republican president. Got to!
The Court has been 5-4 on our side for many issues. If it slips the other way we are done, so done that your private lives and beliefs will be taken from you and you will be helpless to do a damn thing about it.
We're not helpless, yet, just complacent and complicit.

I get the bravado talk, I do. But failure to understand how close this country is to the edge of Socialism spells disaster.

Whoever rules the courts will rule this Nation. If we allow Hillary the WH she will take us over the edge.

Heed me, the end is at your door step.
Seems like you are in the right place to get things changed. I'm betting you have a lot more neighbors, dentists, baggers, checkout gals etc that will vote the liberal vote than I could ever imagine finding.

Get out on the streets Harry and turn the liberal suck hole called Massatwoshiets into a conservative state. Pounding the drum here ain't gonna help much.

You have used up your daily limit of Massatwoshiets......
Just stating Fact. You complain about blue lever pullers, but you live in a blue lever puller haven. Go get them slugger.

Say how much is the sales tax in your state by chance?

I agree that this issue is hugely important. Judicial appointments will have a tremendous impact, maybe forever. We are at a critical point in the nation's history.

Then comes immigration and the economy..

Individual state taxes are trivial in comparison. You can always move if you do not like them and in fact hundreds of thousands are doing so and others are moving their assets. (That is my line of work these days.)

BTW, the worst are NY, CT, NJ, Ca, off the top of my head followed by MA, MN and a few others.

I never thought I would be pushing a New York resident for Pres, but I think he would do the best on the issues, even with his rude personality, which is not all bad. grin
Good, bad or indifferent, I think Trump is the only Repub with a realistic chance to win the general election.

He may not be my 1st preference but I'll take him over Hildebeast or the village idiot, Biden.

But Trump could also be a very loose cannon.............

You're probably right because I don't see anyone on either side that is likely to take on the REAL issues of America. Any D is going to try to get gun control, you can count on that.

On the other hand, with the exception of the Heller decision, SCOTUS has made a complete mess out of most other significant decisions. The "conservative" justices have been happy to make just as many horrible decisions as the liberals as of late.

Train wrecks from the right:
Heller & McCutcheon cases.
Mutual Pharmaceutical case.

Train wrecks from the left:
Wickard vs. Filburn was a power grab by the left.
NFIB v. Sebelius gave us the "tax" of Obamacare

By some miracle 9 justices came together and got Riley vs. California right.

Let's hope we get some better justices soon.

BS!

There are over 100 million gun owners in this country. Even IF they could get 90% compliance to gun confiscations(which won't happen), that leaves over 10 million armed, pissed off vets, police, rednecks, etc etc.

Think about.

You're on Crack.

We can't even get the Gun Owners on this forum to get off their f-en ass and vote against the Democrat machine because their "candidate" didn't get the nomination, let alone organize a a "revolution" or even a successful "protest".

Enjoy your Crack.

I think the powers that be like a precarious balance, and exert their full power, regardless of who's president, to keep it that way. Look at how often Republican appointees turn out to be total traitors on key issues. Someone has to be behind the scenes arranging for that outcome. That many mistakes over so long a time period cannot be a mere accumulation of accidents.

A very valid, albeit very scary point. Well said sir.

We better ALL get off our lazy rear end's next November, regardless of who the nominee is!

Ain't gonna happen cuz they don't got enough boots on the ground to take on an armed populous(remember that number, 100 million +).

Kinda the whole point of the second amendment.

True but we only have 2-2.5 million who actually do anything.

I'll say this again. If we had 100 million folks in the NRA we would OWN unlimited gun rights in this nation, as we should BTW
You do realize the second amendment ain't worth the paper it's written on.
Should a demonrat win the election, I fear that state nullification will be the only recourse. The authors of the Constitution wrote many papers delineating EXACTLY what they meant by the wording they used in the Bill of Rights, specifically the 2nd Amendment. How the worthless libtard justices flatly ignore the intent of the 2nd is beyond comprehension, explainable only to me by a selfish personal agenda.

Sir, I would very much like for you to clarify that statement somewhat, so simple minds like mine can understand what you mean. Please.

ADDRESSED TO NO ONE IN PARTICULAR.

If you make your "right to bear arms" contingent on what Gov't policy is at a particular point in time, you have no business being armed anyway. It's doubtful you'd ever pull the trigger.

If that is the case, the NRA is only worth the baseball cap they send out with new memberships.

Get off your self made pedestal. A lot more than 2.5 million out there that scare the crap out of the demonrats who aren't members of the nra and do more than many nra members.

Tell us, how'd the nra do in CT.? NY. or Colorado with the gun and mag bans? They were sure willing to sit down with john conyers and chucky shumer and that macarthy chick from ny. to write the veterans disarmament act.

Who've they endorsed for potus in the last few cycles? Mccain, mr. "close the gunshow loophole" gun grabber? How about "ban assault weapons" Romney? Some real "winners" there.
It all depends on who....is paying who....off!!
So, Harry and the 2nd---
Quote Harry-- "as long as it doesn't cost me anything, I am all for it"

GFY
For some folks the NRA is not conservative enough, doesn't go far enough, is too willing to compromise and is too full of political bureaucracy. They give their money and time elsewhere.

It's so simple, so simple in fact it should scare the hell out of everyone.

Way back when the POS Kennedy torpedoed the Bork nomination to the SCOTUS I knew that it was only the beginning. Since then the fight over appointing Judges has only increased as its effectively a way to control what laws are considered "constitutional"

HELLA was only 5-4 in the majority. So clearly 4 of the justices consider the second amendment invalid. Even Scalia writing in the majority said the heavy regulation of machine guns is acceptable. So even he is willing to step on the slippery slope.

The next POTUS will appoint at least 4 SCOTUS judges. If they are anti gun they will of course ignore the second amendment and render it impotent. This nation will be ruled by judges who will govern based on their own beliefs and nothing else.

A piece of paper can't save us from judicial abuse of our "paper" right.

Those who bad mouth the NRA are doing their best to expedite the process.

9.5%, it's high, but again my government isn't MASSATWOSHIETS. You are thick as a [bleep] brick.

You driving around downtown Boston with a Glock in you waistband, not needing any type of permit? A loaded AR in the backseat?

YOU are feeding the cesspole, liberal politicians in your state and helping all the others in that state that vote BLUE.

Listen, if you gonna preach from a bully pulpit can you at least make sure it's not constructed from hypocrisy.

Here Harry, lets see if this helps you any.

This is what our Lt. Governor said after the Oregon shooting.

"I would encourage my fellow Christians who are serious about their faith to think about getting a handgun carry permit," Ramsey wrote. "I have always believed that it is better to have a gun and not need it than to need a gun and not have it. Our enemies are armed. We must do likewise."

Is that something the leadership in Massatwoshiets would say? Yet you continue to feed them.

Yes, sales tax is high here, but I'm not feeding the liberal machine. Of course I can control how much or how little I spend.

We have no state income tax on wages and my property taxes on house and 14 acres is $312 a year.

Now it's your turn, tell me some of your numbers. But you won't.

You've obviously spent a LOT of time in porn theaters with as much as a duck and dodge.

You're an idiot, nothing more and likely much less.
