One of the Marques brothers of Bull Ridge Guide Service, David, didn't make it home this week, he was scouting alone for a client and apparently had a heart attack.

The brothers made quite a name for themselves, Eastmans claimed they were the best elk guides in the world at one point. Their sister holds the muzzleloading world record.

Gonna be a tough time for the family especially with the current and upcoming hunts.

David went out with his boots on, the searchers also found a good set of elk sheds he was carrying.

RIP buddy, we're gonna miss ya.
Prayers on the way.
We should all be as lucky as he was, in going doing something we love.

Prayers uplifted for his family & friends.
Done
Done.
My condolences & prayers sent.

I lost one of my best friends who was also an outfitter & maybe the best mule deer guide in the country to cancer at age 53..........he wasn't even allowed the dignity to go out with his boots on.

At least David died doing what he loved, & hopefully it was peaceful as well.

RIP, David.

I remember that big bull the young lady shot! It was about 414 or so. These guys sure know where the big ones haunt.

My condolences to the family.

Sorry to hear, prayers their way
Sent from here.
I hope I go out either hunting, or ranching.
Likely "The Warden" will just shoot me, though!
