Looks great. We are ~2 weeks away from getting ours.
Posted By: Steelhead Re: Trim a tree.... - 11/29/15
Nice.

Ours is up as of yesterday but I'm letting it 'fall' for another day before we decorate.

9 1/2' of cat loving fun.

We moved it in front of the other door in the great room. It was to close to the stove in front of the window.

Yep - acquire and dress next weekend or weekend after. Likely next weekend as I love the smell in the house.

When I came home the other day wife had put this together.

Beautiful trees gentlemen smile

We have not put a single tree up yet, spent the day shopping, just home and just too tired to give decorations a go. We will probably do one tomorrow, and two next weekend.

Lost all Christmas decorations in the fire. We will decorate our temporary quarters a bit but it won't be the same.

The true meaning of Christmas will still be celebrated as always smile

Nice wood, Scott. That's one of the most full real tree I've seen.

My wife is Christmas crazy. Long ago i set in place a "No Christmas decorations until after Thanksgiving" Rule. Had my 4 year old daughter in the pickup the other day and she says "Look at that house their daddy must let them put up decorations early" My wife shot me "the glance". HAHA

I don't mean to alarm you but there appears to be a burglar hiding behind your tree.
Posted By: rost495 Re: Trim a tree.... - 11/29/15
Well, last weekend there was a tree in the way of the boat blind duck hunting.... they dropped the machete in 6 feet of water.... so I says... you gots plenty of shells... boom. Tree trimmed.

Oops. Wrong trimming subject.

Carolyn will find our mini boxed tree that stays decorated at some point soon enough...

Remember the days when folks cut wild trees? A real cool Thanksgiving family tradition here. Ours is up but no decorations yet.
Posted By: Pugs Re: Trim a tree.... - 12/17/15
Thread retrieval grin Its more fun than most of this stuff.

We won't go cut ours until next wed or thurs. With our spindly spruce, think 'Charlie Brown' tree. smile
Posted By: Steelhead Re: Trim a tree.... - 12/17/15
Very nice everyone. We keep ours up till the 12 days of Christmas are over.

Who else gets their own Mistletoe? We have a tree that is loaded with it.

This one is taken from the dining room looking into the great room.

This is ours. Tradition is to cut it from a tree farm Saturday, then put it up on Sunday. Lights go on first, then the ornaments, a couple hundred Old World Ornaments we have collected for the last 20 years, no two are the same. Time consuming process putting it up...that I wouldn't give up a minute of.
