Damn! Yesterday my 12-year old Workstation turned into a 1-terabyte arc-welder. Going to have to step down from a 3.6 to a 2.3 GHz machine. A boatload more harddrive space though. They talked me into a solid state system hard drive. Supposed to be about 6X faster. Anyone with experience with those?

Got to flex the credit card, so there goes my new spey rod and a scope. Bummer.
My son bought my nephew a Red Ryder BB gun for Christmas, and we got it out and shot it yesterday. It's depressing to see what they've done to an iconic gun of yesteryear. At least the barrel's still made out of sheet metal. The entire lever assembly and trigger group are plastic. How's a kid with a penchant for plinking supposed to get any life out of a plastic BB gun? They even managed to make the stock thinner. What a shame to see what they did here.
Once you use a machine with a solid state drive, you will never want to use on with a standard hard drive again.

I have one in my laptop. it is mind blowing how fast and how long the battery lasts.
