I'm still a wreck after the show...........great time with a great kid (she bought tix for an early BD present). Pretty dayam serious about art/music.......seen Maiden a few times (front row even). Just a lot of emotions running.......my daughter is such a sweetie. The shows always lift you up, and then you go home.......so it's kinda tough. But this time it was just different. The feelings get stronger day by day. Can't explain it all, or put a price on it. Yeah it's metal and Maiden, big stuff.......but the power is in the subtle aspects of the event.

Had a few Trooper Ales before the show

They did Children of the Damned (not heard that one at any of the other shows I've been to) so that was very cool. Great set list actually. Some classics plus the new, my kid's first Maiden gig.
Silly maybe, but still an emotional event 2 days later. Post concert depression sucks. I hope next tour the kid and I do a full blast weekend instead of a one day deal (both had to work next day).

So classic Maiden is in my head this Friday.
Kinda felt burned out by the time the show hit (4 hrs of her jamming it on the drive up, then a couple hrs of it at the pub- they did maybe 11 pubs- Trooper Ale meet ups).

But now its a flood of older music, the new, been on YT looking at other folks' videos of the show (dunno what vids my kid got yet).

Didn't try to hit the airport to see Ed Force One. But somebody (bless their heart) got great vid of it landing in Chicago- so am happy there). Hopefully the next time we can expand our trip to include it.

Actually - I'm no rap fan but Eminem has a ton of respect from a lot of black artists for his talent and skill as a rapper. Dr. Dre never even knew he was white till they met.

can't sleep...some extreme pain keeping me awake, so I am listening to a few of my favorite songs from Brazil (in Portuguese) and some from Greece as well. This one -- by teenage twin brothers Breno and Caio Cesar -- is Londres (London). The lyrics are simple but captivating and not filled with the prevalent innuendo much of the popular modern music is plagued with.

I don't listen to much music from here in the states anymore other than some select oldies. Plus, there's much to be learned from the languages, the music and the cultures of other parts of the world.

Those of you familiar with Celine Dion will likely recognize this beautiful song by Helena Paparizou:
