The American Family Association is calling for a boycott of Target after the retail giant said it would allow men to use the women's restrooms and dressing rooms in their stores.

On its web site this week, Target announced, "[W]e welcome transgender team members and guests to use the restroom or fitting room facility that corresponds with their gender identity. ...Everyone deserves to feel like they belong."

This means a man can simply say he "feels like a woman today" and enter the women's restroom...even if young girls or women are already in there.

Target's policy is exactly how sexual predators get access to their victims. And with Target publicly boasting that men can enter women's bathrooms, where do you think predators are going to go?

Clearly, Target's dangerous new policy poses a danger to wives and daughters. We think many customers will agree. And we think the average Target customer is willing to pledge to boycott Target stores until it makes protecting women and children a priority.

One solution is a common-sense approach and a reasonable solution to the issue of transgendered customers: a unisex bathroom. Target should keep separate facilities for men and women, but for the trans community and for those who simply like using the bathroom alone, a single occupancy unisex option should be provided.

Take Action

Sign a pledge to boycott Target now! Target should not allow men to enter the women's restrooms and dressing rooms.

I did earlier today.
Target should get a lesson that it's customer base is made up mostly of suburban soccer moms instead of trannies.
Done
Done. I have 2 daughters and I won't be taking them shopping at Target until this is changed.
Done!! Thanks for putting this on here.

This is so far from being correct.
I'm only going to Target to use the restrooms from now on.
If they want unisex bathrooms, than build some individual single use bathrooms and call them "family" bathrooms. One person at a time, solves all of this stupid problem. Heck, our local Cabela's has them.

Not only the LGBT issues are solved, but dads with young girls don't have to take the girls into the men's room. Elderly adults with caregivers can have some privacy and dignity. Etc, etc.
The response from Target was that anyone offended by the policy could use the family restroom, but you know that the trannies would be offended if they were told to use that restroom.

I accidentally went into the women's bathroom at work and all I can say is "wow". It was so clean, completely empty, and smelled a heck of a lot better. I look forward to being able to use it.

99% sure the local Target that I've stopped at doesn't have family restrooms, just men's and women's.
Done.
Hell, I have been boycotting Target for years. Several years.

Don't even consider going into one. Just looks like a vacant building to me. (Other than the stupid liberals streaming in and out.) smile

They already have "family" bathrooms. They are going a step further now.
I was told Targer is owned by Sears. Very disappointed with both as I use Serars all the time. Hasbeen

Yep.. they deserve a full out boycott then.

They lost my bizz a long time ago.

Statistically speaking, your daughters are getting molested by family members--not strangers in a public bathroom.
Done! I hope it costs them, big time!

Mustn't be used...here the women's toilets are always in worse shape than the men's...men can't piss in a straight line and are more likely to smear [bleep] on the seat, but women leave a mess every time they sit down, and will sit and eat food like hot chips and hamburgers whilst doing their business, apparently no one has told them that the half-flush is only used for liquids without toilet paper...toilet paper = full flush.

I also note that the ability to use a paper dispenser and rubbish bin is beyond them as well.
It's the entire liberal ideology I'm protesting as much as any threat, be it real or perceived...

That's probably affected somewhat by the fact that it's currently illegal for males to enter women's restrooms in the majority of places.

But what you're saying is true and will remain true. Doesn't make Target's decision right.
I don't need to boycott Target - stopped going to them over 15 (maybe 20(?) years ago) when they stopped carrying anything firearm related. Allowing pervs to use whatever restroom they wish doesn't surprise me with their HQ in Minnesota.

The question is do you want pictures or videos of your daughter or granddaughter using the bathroom on the internet for pervs to look at?
Why conservative Christians are vowing to boycott Target

Denver Nicks - Money - Tuesday, April 26, 2016

Amid a wave of controversy in communities across the U.S. over bathrooms and gender identity, Target made clear in a blog post last week that the company’s stated policy is to allow “transgender team members and guests to use the restroom or fitting room facility that corresponds with their gender identity.”

In response, the American Family Association—which regularly organizes protests in defense of what the organization deems traditional family values—spearheaded a boycott that has quickly become one of the most successful protest actions to date. Arguing that the policy “means a man can simply say he ‘feels like a woman today’ and enter the women’s restroom … even if young girls or women are already in there,” the AFA believes “Target’s dangerous new policy poses a danger to wives and daughters.”

“This is the best response we’ve ever had this quick,” AFA President Tim Weldon told USA Today.

Granted, it's impossible to say how many of these "boycotters" were actually Target shoppers in the first place. Market researchers have noted that conservatives tend to prefer Walmart over stores like Target and Whole Foods. They do so for a variety of reasons, including the simple fact that Walmart has a larger presence in states that skew Republican.

In any event, Target is standing by its inclusive policy.
“We certainly respect that there are a wide variety of perspectives and opinions,” Target spokesperson Molly Snyder said in response to the boycott threats. “As a company that firmly stands behind what it means to offer our team an inclusive place to work—and our guests an inclusive place to shop—we continue to believe that this is the right thing for Target.”

I'm protesting the liberal ideology too. But I'm arguing against the ideology, not some imagined disaster.

I've never heard of a law that made men going into the women's bathroom illegal.

Where is that against the law? (Outside of that law that was recently passed). It would be incredibly difficult to enforce it anyway.

Did Target make that legal too?

As far as I know they still have stalls, right? Or did they install troughs?

Locally you'll get nailed with disturbing the peace - seen a couple incidents in the paper over the years. Have a smartphone on you and it'd probably get bumped if they thought you were there to grab pics or video.

What I was thinking. I cannot remember the last time I saw a "trannie".
If some pervert follows my daughter into a public restroom there will be a new law needed to get my foot removed from his asss.
No trappers here eh ?

A trip to the girls room yields the best bait to entice feral dogs, their wild kin, many cat species, coons (4 legs) and others which home in on blood.
Done the same thing to the NBA.
Won't watch anymore,don't like thugball.

Bwahahaha!
I will not be signing.

If you think a little gender emblem on a bathroom door is going to prevent a sexual predator from committing the act, you are as delusional as those that think gun free zones are safe spaces.
So if my wife goes to Target (which I have been against for awhile) I am going into the changing room with the girls as part of my gender identity- that of a protective father. See you on the evening news.
I already signed it a week or so ago, but I have rarely ever gone to Target anyway.

Don't think it's really the so-called "trannies" that will be the problem, but the perverts using the new loophole created by the "fix" for the "problem" that wasn't a problem before.
Voted in the primaries today and then this. It was a good day.
last time i took a dump in target i was dismayed that the bathroom only had a little wooden bench to crap on. and no toilet paper. just some clothes hanging haphazardly on hangers. those womens swim suits are tough on the old balloon knot. and the full length mirrors in there and the big space under the door made me a little self conscious. but i muscled through it.

that whole store stinks like schit too.

The fitting room is probably a lot cleaner then most women's bathrooms for a dump.... How womens restrooms get so dirty is unthinkable to me.
Must be a lot of squatters ,not sitters with poor aim!!!!!
Target may have pulled a Dixie Chicks. My wife just got back from picking up a prescription (last one before she switches pharmacies) and she said there might have been five people in the whole store that she saw. She said it is dead. That place is ALWAYS full but now it is dead dead dead.
I hope the sunsabeeches go tits up.
