Trump, Clinton and Sanders are now backing the $15 federal minimum wage.
Hillary want $12-15 and Bernie wants the whole $15 per hour.
Trump wants “something”

Today Trump said: “I'm looking at that, I'm very different from most Republicans,”
“You have to have something you can live on. But what I 'm really looking to do is get people great jobs so they make much more money than that, much more money than the $15.”

Last November Trump said: "We have to become competitive with the world. Our taxes are too high, our wages are too high, everything is too high,” he said. “What's going to happen is now people are going to start firing people.”

Lord knows a lot of us have been actually LISTENING to the BS he's been saying...trumpeteers are in for a very rude awakening...stupid should hurt.
What kind of economically illiterate moron advocates a $15.00 minimum wage? We expect such idiocy from Demonrats, but from Republicans? Oh wait. I forgot! Trump is a Democrat.
Never mind. blush

the solution is simple for all of you

vote for Hillary

Got yer Hillary stickers plastered across yer bumpers?
What I don't get is the guys who think $15 is a lot for minimum wage. $15 an hour is a little over 2k a MONTH take home pay. It's nothing.

It's nothing for you billionaires grin
So what kind of moron reads that and interprets "...I'm for something" as in favor of a $15 an hour minimum wage? A Missouri retard?

Many here's reading comprehension is sadly lacking.
The minimum wage causes all kinds of handwringing on here for no reason. The minimum wage is mostly irrelevant. The problem in the U.S. is the massively bloated welfare state. We pay people 50K a year in welfare to sit at home, smoke dope and spit out kids. They're not going to take a job for $8 an hour or $15 an hour for that matter. Why would you take a $15 an hour job when you get paid twice that for doing nothing?

We then look the other way while mexicans file over our borders to take those low wage jobs, all the time paying our own citizens to NOT take these jobs. It's idiotic. Cut welfare down to where it's not more profitable to sit on your butt at home than work then the 50 million people on welfare will start looking for work. Kick the mexicans out so they're not competing with the former welfare mooches for the jobs. The minimum wage will sort itself out when people suddenly have to actually work to be able to afford their cigarettes and booze.

so whats your end game? Trump is the republican nominee

No one is going to change that at this point

so are you trying to convince everyone else to not vote for him?

whatever logic you have, it a head scratcher at this point
At $15, a lot of jobs that hire at minimum now will go away with automation.
Instead of working for what it pays now, many will have no wages at all.

This is why your Senators and congressmen are as important as the president. Congress makes the LAW, the president only agrees or disagrees. At which time he can approve or veto the legislation. At least that is how it is supposed to work. The a$$hole harry reid will never agree with anything republicans or conservatives do.

Watch4(gummie)bear is looking for a bunkmate.

I'd apply if I was in you shoes.... Chief.
It already sucks that it's difficult for kids who want to work to find work. Is $15/hr going to improve the job prospects? Methinks not.

If a young person doesn't begin working until they are young adults, it should be no surprise when many of them find other ways to get by or simply work at a half-assed rate. I kind of like the idea of having minimum wage jobs that can employ unskilled willing young people. It helps them learn the value of money. It can also motivate them to improve their ability to earn more through furthering their education and skills. Incremental wage increases are a good thing. Wage doubling is a very bad idea.

The point remains that Trump has flipped again.

8/20/15 “Now, I want to create jobs so that you don’t have to worry about the minimum wage, you’re doing a great job, and you’re making much more than the minimum wage,” he said via phone on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.” “But I think having a low minimum wage is not a bad thing for this country.”

Simple question. Who would pull more votes from Hillary, Trump or Cruz?

At this point, you're shilling for Hillary.
Why do these political discussions have to be so personal? Seems rather juvenile to me.

So you deduce from this and what he said yesterday that he is all in for $15?
Really?
Minimum wage is just that, but should be adjusted for inflation periodically. Even though we now have the second administration that reports basically zero to little inflation.

Well maybe not in your area, but where I live its about an average pay scale for most jobs. I"m barely over that and to get a lot more I"d have to move to a city or commute to a city...

Although I disagree that there should even be a minimum wage personally.

Govt intervening has got to stop, the rest would sort itself out.
The whole notion that raising the minimum wage is going to help the lower wage earners, is idiotic.

Scenario:
I've got guys working for me that are making $14 to $16 an hour, which is about $6 or $7 above minimum, 30%. If the minimum wage goes up to $15, I'll have to raise their pay to $22. Who will pay for this? YOU WILL, the consumer. It'll cause inflation and prices of everything will go up 30% in order to cover it. The low wage earners will still be behind the 8 ball and not be able to make a living off of that and the pay raise will be worthless. This is simple capitalism, which the Dems do not understand.

What ever happened to the old American work ethic? If you want to make more money, get out there and bust your azz and work your way up the ladder and make more money. Hand outs ain't gonna make it happen.

You're right, so lets bump it up to $20/hr. ...Of course $30 would be even better...

Have any of you supporters of min. wages looked at what that hourly pay scale actually costs the employer?

After FICA, insurance costs, training, taxes, f'ups etc. etc. $15/hour will cost $20-$25/hr out of pocket to the employer before jr. even starts breaking even. And who do you think the employer passes those extra costs on too? Because if the employer doesn't, he either employees fewer people to make up the difference, automates, or says "F' It!" and closes up shop.

You can tweek laws all you want but the market will always win in the end.

Right now, your future lays in the balance. There's already one vacancy to be filled; a deciding vote. Three more are coming very soon. Ginsburg is circling the drain. You'll be feeling the ramifications of this vote LONG after the next President is out of office. Get it together!

Exactly ! Trump is the only choice if the Second Amendment means anything to you. I agree he has a lot of warts, but I am voting for one single issue. Second Amendment/SCOTUS !!! Hold your nose and save your guns !!!
Republicans are highly likely to lose the Senate to Democrats.

Does anyone truly think Trump has the stomach to fight for a constitutional conservative on the Court when he thinks that Supreme Court justices prosecute crimes and sign bills?

Ronald Reagan missed two out of three Supreme Court picks. George H.W. Bush went one for two. George W. went one for two. Ford went zero for one, and Nixon went one for four. Does anyone think that Donald Trump will do better than any of these people?

Trump has never backed a constitutional balance of powers; he doesn’t know what that phrase means. If you’re hanging your hopes for a conservative Court on Donald Trump, you’re being conned.

Facts are facts to be sure. The fact is he has infinitely better odds at appointing a good judge to the court than does Clinton.

So either get on board or pull the lever for your girl and STFU.

You talkin about the fact that McCain lost, Romney lost, right?

And as mentioned post: either jump in or go vote HRC and STFU.
Look at this way. Keep people poor, and keep adding to the poor, and the democrats will keep growing in power.

$15 an hour is not a lot of money at all. I'd feel very sorry for someone who was supporting a family on that wage.

Obviously there needs to be some exceptions. Teens, very low skill jobs, etc should not be $15 an hour.

Either the employer pays them, or we the tax payer pays them. Make you choice.

Really I am torn on the minimum wage thing.

1st a minimum wage kills jobs, period. Startups, and small business's in certain markets would be crippled by a $15 wage.

On the other hand a company like Walmart will pay their employees nothing and make billions of dollars, while the tax payers subsidize their employees though entitlement programs. Yes Walmart would need to raise prices but dollar for dollar you get a lot more when money stays in the private sector than with .gov.

I don't know the answer, one way you kill jobs and small business, the other way you effectively subsidize large corporations with tax dollars while they make billions.
If you fix immigration and entitlements, minimum wage problem will take care of itself.

No. The liberals won't be happy until a single mother without a high school education is making as much as a college graduate.

It's only "fair".

I'd feel even worse for someone who hadn't figured out the value of a minimum wage job as a young person before they got tied down. How anyone could work for wages so low that they can barely support just themselves, if that, and not realize that they ought to be bettering themselves suggests a problem a lot bigger than what the government can fix via mandates. Of course, those mandates could seriously screw up some other important things that don't need a government fix.
maybe I'm wrong but you don't have to work for minimum wage.

Have always told my boys at the end of your shift, someone is gonna feel like they got screwed.

Whatever your wage, make sure the boss thinks he got way more value for your efforts than what he paid.

If he's a good boss you're apt to get a raise. If he's a bad boss, and you bust hump and don't see anything for your trouble, go talk to his biggest competitor.

you may have to start at minimum wage, but I know enough biz owners if you're willing to bust hump they'll gladly pay you.

but folks don't want to buy a pig in a poke.

Unlikely a conservative one if Trump is considering a Democrat as a running mate. Don't think it will make any difference on the picks as Trump has shown no indications of being a conservative. GW
