Campfire member 358WSM was driving across the country with all of his and his wife's belongings in a trailer. Sometime last night at a hotel in Tuscon, the trailer was stolen.

He makes his living as a home builder.

All his firearms, all his tools, all of their clothes and furniture is all gone. Wedding pictures. Everything.

Took over 4 hours for the police to show up.

I'm working on getting a detailed list of tools and firearms.

I'm hoping that this community can keep an eye out on craigslist, ebay, local pawn shops and so on.

He and his wife have lost everything.
Man...

Any description of trailer?
Once I get the list I'll post it here along with contact info for the police handling the investigation.

Any help you can off in recovering their stuff would be beyond words.

Any advice or tips about where to look is greatly appreciated as well. Especially from guys in the area that know the area and how these things normally play out.
Details, man, details......
Can we drum up some reward money ?
Not hard to find a flea market snitch,....maybe.

GTC
Damn, that sucks beyond believe. I always hated my moves.

I haven't seen Scott on the 'Fire in a long time.

Thank you for asking!

Scott is a builder so, he took a 12ft flat trailer and built a cabin for it. It's made of 3/4" OSB. 6 ft high.

Would have several ladders hanging off of it. Cooler strapped to the front. The Jack is kind of broken and only held on there with bolts. Needs to be welded.

Scott is emailing me the list. As soon as I have it I'll post.

Yeah, he got married a year ago and he and his wife were leaving NY to have a chance at freedom.

They were going to visit her family and then were thinking of taking advantage of the economic growth happening here in the south.
The chambermaid, and desk staff at a BUNCH of chain motel / hotels in both Phoenix and Tucson have been implicated / busted for this sort of thing forever,.....and the age of the cell phone's made it a lot worse.

It's a short dash down to "Nogy" from Tucson, and Mex customs are for sale, 24-7....I'll regretfully advise that that gear may very well be fairly deep into Sonora, Mex. by now.

If these folks need a place to hang out / regroup / re-equip while pursuing leads, my place is at their disposal.

GTC
Thank you Greg. Your sentiments are what I suspected as well. Figure at best a shell of a trailer may one day be found. The rest in Mexico.

I'll let them know of your generous offer. They are almost to her family place in San Diego so they may just continue on to there.
Hug,

edit: OOPS, I was typing while you posted the description of the trailer. That thing should be easy to spot, but the contents are probably long gone.

Are there any gun or tool message boards in the area where it was stolen ?
There is probably an Arizona firearms association of some kind.
Anything like that could help spread the word around that area as well.

The theft is a low-down and dirty act !

Myron
Thank you Myron. I'll look for such organizations. Really appreciate the tip sir!
I'll keep an eye out. I'm all over town all day...
But yeah, likely it was gone before the sun came up, especially that unique...
I'm still waiting on the detailed list but here are two pictures of the gun cabinet that was among the items stolen.

I hate to hear this news. I hope they find their trailer and stuff.

Trailer had/has NY plates
Boy do I hate thieves, I hope they castrate the worthless fuchs.
Police found the trailer!!!

It's been opened obviously but the police say it's full of stuff and it looks like they were looking for specific things.

My guess tools and firearms.

Scott is on his way to inventory it.
Glad the trailer has been found. Hopefully, all the stuff is still in there.
At least the stuff they need to live on. Clothing and stuff.

Would be very lucky if the gun cabinet was not opened....
That's very good news!
Miracles do happen.
Great news!
Good for the cops!! smile
Will be EXPECTING updates as to missing contents, muy pronto.

Almost unbelievable how much Plunder from Tucson turns up at our Saturday (that's TOMORROW) Lion's Club swap meet, and get's RECOVERED....purveyed by cretins who think they're "somewhere else, now"

Awesome!

Glad the trailer turned up. And hoping for the other things to show up, too.
Personal papers, awards, family photos, etc. can be more valuable than the material goods in the long run.

I hope those things at least, weren't taken, or are recovered quickly.

I would make it a goal of mine to cut the hands off of the fu~cks that did this to me!

You steal my stuff, your life is never going to be the same.
Scott just texted me the following. Please forgive the grammar.

Quote

Got the trailer... The took my tools, Angelas wedding dress and all our pics, all our outdoor gear, and of course my firearms except for some shotgun I rolled in a blanket.

Quote
I called PD back because i found tools and a hardhat as well as sunglasses and a utility knife that were not mind. Fingerprints.

Quote
PD found the trailer deserted along a desert road with everything strune around it.

I followed up with him to ask if the police are even going to bother with prints because I know that in many instances involving theft they don't even bother.

Scott said they dusted and bagged the extra gear left at the scene.

Hope they nail these guys.
Did they go on to San Diego? If I had a working address, I would send them a little bit to help with new tools and such. Things to work with might help them back on their feet more quickly. miles
Very kind Miles.

He is on his way to San Diego now. He should be there in just a few hours.

I have already told him what you guys are all doing for him on here.

He hasn't been on here for a very long time, but when he makes it to San Diego he plans to come on here and thank you guys for the help you have been and answer any further questions anyone might have.
I'm laughing only to keep from crying. You won't believe this...

His transmission in his truck died 30 miles from the exit for their destination. Now no truck laugh

Guy can't catch a break.

His wife family came and picked them up. So, they're safe at least...

Man....what a journey...
What a train wreck. Sorry to read of this. The country has become a den of robbers and thieves.

We really need to bait these bastards with a roadside "breakdown" and when caught bury them alive in the desert. Put an end to this sheit once and for all.

Yea, how about a Trojan trailer with 3-4 armed guys, to greet these fu~cks when they open the door.

Cell phones and GPS's and you could have more guys on the way, the video would be great!

Law enforcement made fun and easy 101. I see cars left by the road around here and invariably the first night some asswipe breaks the windows out. Landscaper had a flat tire on a trailer the other day with no spare. Went to town to get repair, came back, no zero turn mower.

I'm sick of people getting away with this sheit. It wouldn't be hard to eliminate this type of thievery with bait placed strategically to make disposal of the bodies minimal risk.
Fireball,

"Put an end to this sheit once and for all."

I totally agree with your sentiment, but there are millions of them.

It won't be eliminated as long as there are humans on this planet.

Thanks Mark and All who have taken note on our account.

Sorry for the delay in response, we have tried to get a ways off the grid and therefore we don't run a computer in our home. plus we pretty much just "landed."

We did indeed recover the trailer shell, but our valuables, except for what was in the S10 and Mustang were taken.

The pics that Angela selected show what rifles were taken, except that we DO have the 94 and the 99 in safe possession. Also not shown, as far as firearms go is a M37 Ithaca .

We had previously downsized, and therefore the only things that we call "special" belongings either came along or got left behind in storage. We're bitchin.

Anyway Thanks again for the concern, we surely appreciate you all.

Scott & Angela

Hugga will be posting pics later, he's currently in need of prayer for his baby girl who is heading to the ER.

Sure hope things are going to be OK with that.

Keep us posted, please.
Yeah, our 3yr old boy learned how to remove the Child Safety door knobs covers. Then he figured out how to open the doors.

I went upstairs today to find the laundry room door open in the cleaning supplies strewn from the laundry room all the way to his sister's room.

She ended up with something in her eye and was unable to open her eyes so we took her immediately to the emergency room and that is where we currently are.

They are flushing her eyes and keeping an eye on her until she can open them up herself.

All of his tools did have his initials SJM etched into them.

She's still not opening her eyes and is refusing food and drink. She just wants to be held and sleep.

Nibbling at food and would drink very little. Opens her eyes for a second or two at a time but she's too sensitive to the light to keep them open.

She has a fever and her eyelids are swollen and inflamed, so she's clearly fighting an infection

But, since she's trying to open them and she is at least considering food, it's improvement. I'll take it.
Praying for your little angel HAJ.

As to the thieves that got Scott & Angela, there is no hell dark enough for such SCUM!
Thanks for the update HugAJackass. smile

She at home yet where she can get good food and not hospital "food?"

Forgot to mention that the Ithaca 37 in the photo was also stolen.

She's about 90% recovered after today. Thank you everyone for your prayers.

Really didn't want to distract from the efforts to help Scott and Angela recover their livelihood.
Thank the Lord for the quick recovery !
I hope there are no lingering after effects.

Incidents like this can sure be scary - it is the worst part of raising kids, IMO.

Alright,....what's the LATEST on alla' this,...

There WAS, and IS quite a bit of interest in this evolution,....one which at this time you seem to have just forgotten.

If you can tear yourself away from, "defending Liberty by speaking the truth" could you provide an update ?
