I bet that poll was taken in inner city Seattle or Portland. Just more liberals spewing their trash. Both states have a long history of being gun friendly.
Confused... which ones are they trying to ban?

high power rifles?

or scary black sporting rifles?

By banning "High Powered Rifles", they mean high capacity, but .223s and .762X39, ain't chit for power.
Banning "high power" would outlaw everything I own except for .22s
Damn people are too dumb to even state what they really mean.
face it, liberals want to ban your grandson's BB gun

22 mags are okay, I think. grin

Anything above a musket is on their list to eventually be banned. Never doubt it.

Gateway drug to them.

So did Massachusetts at one time.

Dave
Yep but that was a long time ago. I will watch this carefully but doubt it will go anywhere.

Yeah, like how 80% of WA voted YES for the last gun control bills.

WA is F(CKED.
You may be right and it is worse that you have stated. The last vote where the background check disaster happened because Washington R voters did not vote. The idiots were to damned lazy to fill out their mail in ballots but then they only had around a month to fill them out. mad

Ummm, didn't WA just vote to eliminate FTF gun sales?

Dave
Yup, they did.

Keep in mind though, it's not that WA residents are idiots, or that the R voters didn't vote. (plenty on both sides didn't vote) The problem is the rest of the state being so badly outnumbered by the Seattle area. Same for Oregon, and a number of other states (Colorado for example?)

Not much the rest of us can do about it, living in the rural areas, but it doesn't make us idiots or lazy.

On the flip side, we did just get the law changed to allow SBRs in WA; it's not all doom and gloom.

there are a few items, currently residing in that area, i would be more than happy to provide a safe home for, given that the price was right.
a candy flavored named item comes to mind.

Yep, and it didn't work. People still do it just like they did before.

Yes but the same could be said for Jew York, Califorkugnts, Illidiots, Minnesoduh, etc.

Dave
Oregon banned FTF gun sales within the year.

Bullschit, they didn't vote period. Too F'ing busy to fill in a ballot and walk to the freaking mailbox. It is a vote by mail state, literally there is no excuse for not having near 100% turnout and they sit and pout about how their vote doesn't county anyways. Idiots....

Good to hear.

Fugk 'em.

Dave
I would think that stopping FTF would be almost unenforceable.

It is but the liberals are sleeping soundly, safe in the knowledge that criminals get their weapons from gunshows and now that the "gunshow loophole" is closed they can't do that. Therefore Washington is criminal free.lol

I know that my wife and I voted against their attacks on our 2A rights but I fear that voting isn't what will ultimately reassert our constitutional rights.

I would think slipping a girl a $20 bill after you fugk her would be unenforceable too.

It's not.

Unfortunately.

Dave
You can't give a "date" cab fare?
If it goes nowhere again this year, the backers of 594 will get it through the initiative process.

Just like with 594, I have run across quite a few gun owners that are for it.

Yep, WA passed a law so bad the state police are ignoring it.

Does this mean a guy can advertise a gun for sale in WA. then sell it to a fellow citizen and not have to worry about consequences?
As in arrest, jail, and then a good chance loose all gun rights that still remain?
Come. Get. Them.

Bring help.
700, Yes. There is no acknowledgement of the "law". It's not being enforced because it can't be enforced.
Some more Potland High Hopes in creating their liberal utopia....

Disarm honest citizens so that the streets will be safer for criminals....

Just wish they would stick to riding their bicycles Naked, as long as one wears a bike helmet. They've got that and legalized dope... they think they are on a roll.
It'll happen, no doubts in my mind. The only question will be how many will comply.

Way too many did not vote at all.

Nope but if a friend wanted to sell you one nobody would know and in most places no one would care.

And they WILL, eventually.. Unless and until all CITIZENS stand up and refuse to obey/comply.. Let's see 'em lock up a couple hundred million CITIZENS..

Yes indeed they do.
3 county's control the voting results for the state of Washington and they are not Republican.
I sure would help if conservatives would get off their lazy asses a f fill out their ballots.

The answer to this is yes, and no. Of course you can advertise to sell a gun, and them sell it to a fellow citizen. However if that fellow citizen happens to be an LEO then they can obviously enforce the law.

However there is only one sheriff that I know of that is currently enforcing or attempting to enforce the law and that is in King County.

Our Sheriff here locally doesn't have any plans in place to enforce the law.

I can attest to your point for sure. As soon as you get out side the friggin city centers in WA, the people are VERY conservative or libertarian. Unfortunately, the city centers are VERY liberal and outnumber us.

We were planning to move to Island County (Whidbey). Met with the folks at the local rod and gun club (very, very nice facility by the way). I hope we aren't making a mistake?

Nah you should be alright (for awhile). Island county pop. is fairly conservative, but as more and more "summer people" retire and move out there fulltime and Californians continue to "discover" the place it will lean more to the left.

This state is fugged in some ways and better off in others.

594 hasn't done a thing.

I love I don't have to worry about check points on the road.

You aren't.
The Sheriffs in Benton and Franklin Counties, where I live, don't spend too much time worrying about it.

I live in Island county and am quite happy out here. The deputies are good guys, everyday after dinner and many days before dinner all my neighbors target practice. The sound of gunshots ring out and the sound of freedom comforts freedom loving Americans. Our deputies are pro gun and the liberals tend to keep a low profile. One of my neighbors about a mile down the road has a massive wooden NRA sign in his front yard.

You'll like Whidbey island it's a beautiful place with some real quirky folks.

What rod and gun club did you speak with? Holmes harbor?
Well this is timely. A party in the quiet waterfront town of Mukilteo erupted in gunfire last night. 3 dead several wounded.

Not voting NO is a vote for Yes. It's not a difficult concept to grasp, unless you're from Washington.

No decision is a decision. That is lost on many, you included.
Not voting is just stupid! Not voting is just wad they did. When you don't have to leave your house, just on your mail, fill out your ballot, and send it in and you still don't vote you are stupid and lazy. That is exactly what Washington conservative voter are, stupid and lazy.

Not sure if I'm a "conservative", probably lean a bit libertarian/independent.

I did my civic duty today and stuffed my primary ballot directly in the box outside the county auditor's office at the courthouse.

The box next to Patty Murray's name was NOT filled in.

Then I went and picked up a new "toy" at the LGS!

grin

Thanks. Good to know. Yes. It was Holmes Harbor. Very impressed with the club and the range.

The box next to Party's name was empty on my ballot too. grin
Damn! I guess my Mauser action .375 H&H would be in jeopardy in those states. Good thing, though, they're not after the lesser powered rifles like AR-15s.
you're not an OR resident yet?

Tax Evader! laugh

Geno

PS Unfortunately, just like in many other places, the big cities will more than likely determine our Senators. frown
I wonder what the deputies in Island County would think of this:

Not a Washington resident Ang more but I was when that vote came up.
Ah, Scott,

just pickin' on ya.

And with that new trailer and trips to AZ and whatnot, are you a resident of anywhere? grin

Let's just the both of us hope OR/WA doesn't go the CA/MA route.

I'm trying to convince my wife we want to retire to AZ. Only a few more years to go, so perhaps I'll avoid any issues.

Geno
OK, I will wake up. grin

Don't GAF what anyone thinks about my opinion. You're a goofy looking little retard that dresses like a Russian Special Olympics soccer fan. You showed what a low class POS you are several months ago. I and many others generally ignore your stupid ass because like many pointed out, you're nothing more than an attention whore masquerading as an Internet clown. Calvin had a good post for you.....
