I was headed out yesterday morning to look for some elk. There are a few bands of big horn sheep that hang out in the area. I stopped at a store a little after 6:00. The store has a steel statue of two oversized big horn sheep out front. When I walked out of the store I saw a third sheep that looked real. He started getting after the statue. I got in my truck because I thought he was done when he walked away. But he turned around and went back after the statue. You can hear him butting the statue. Pretty cool.

TR - that was at Three Forks between Rapid and Hill City. I see big horns in that area quite often, but this was a first.

Wow.... DECOYS..And they apparently work pretty good.
Balls of steel?
And BTW it was 33 degrees Saturday morning. Got up to 68 later. But a nice break from the 100+ degree weeks earlier this month.

I saw two more sheep this morning in the general area. Strange they were in wooded area.
