Friend's son is part of a US Special Forces unit. His position is in logistics.

The young man was told to let his hair grow and quit shaving in preparation for deployment to the sandbox. Their departure of US territory coincided conveniently with the initiation of conflict in Mosul.
The population freaks out when troops are deployed...

but with special ops folks, they don't dread deployment...

I've always maintained the USA needs to maintain a much larger Special Ops force than it does...

They also need to maintain a lot larger force of armed drones world wide...

May the Good Lord watch over your' friends son and ALL of our troops serving in harms way....

and may the number of casualties among ISIS's ranks be huge...
Amen,

It would be nice if the Liar in Charge would admit it, when he sends our best into harm's way.
If Obummer ever tells the truth on something....

I'll guarantee ya, its only because he screwed up his pre-programmed explanation or answer to a question...

the same applies to Hitlery, but exponentially...
We should not have any troops in the sandbox. Zero. Zip. Nada. More than enough have been sacrificed for no reason or achievement.

There are simpler ways to address the problem and they are far more effective.
I would like to see the LIC there, in the front, with a slingshot.
Ask the HC camp, they are good at divulging information.
Unless we secure the oil fields and use the proceeds to pay for the cost of our entire involvement in the mideast since the first gulf war, ONE U.S. serviceman is one too many...and turning the oil fields back over to them should only happen when/if they can ever form a viable government that WE approve of....
I heard on some media channel that we have 5,000 "support" troops or "advisors" there.

"Come left 5 , down three. Fire for effect. And I advise some fast movers be called." smile

I agree.

I also know that your "simpler ways" often includes the generous application of napalm. 😉

AMEN! Every man, woman, child, dog, cat, goat, camel, and cockroach in that godforsaken dung heap is not worth one drop of American blood.

Far too many lives and grievous injuries have been already expended trying to help this bunch of feckless vermin.

Pull all our people out.

Even if we needed their oil, which we don't,that whole damn region needs a damn good leavin' alone. Let 'em sort it out and if Israel has to nuke 'em..... so be it. We have no "Allies" except Great Britain.
