funniest thing is,

Matthew isn't studying Business, or Finance, or Economics.

His major is BioScience, Can you imagine?

I just sent Trump a text, need the federal reserve straightened out? the IMF? I've got your guy.

Congratulations to you and your son. You obviously raised him in the right way. I hope he doesn't accept a full scholarship to one of the ultra liberal Ivy league schools, and let them fill his mind full of liberal mush. He's obviously in the top 1% of his class, so he must be a conservative.

His best scholarship was for making national merit, it was very welcomed. At 25k a year for a public undergraduate school it's no wonder the snowflakes are protesting.

Congrats to your son and his mom! JK, you too buddy! That is off-the-charts awesome.

outstanding !!
Posted By: kellory Re: 1 of 34, in the world. - 11/26/16
Well done, sir.
He sounds like a tribute to his raising. As a parent of two high ranking students, I know how hard that is to achieve.
Please give him my congratulations, and best wishes for the future.

Congrats! That has to be a tough test. Lots of Calculus involved in Macro. A lot harder course than Micro.
Posted By: gregintenn Re: 1 of 34, in the world. - 11/26/16
That is something to truly be proud of!

My son got an academic scholarship, but nothing that holds a candle to this.
Posted By: Sako76 Re: 1 of 34, in the world. - 11/26/16
Congrats to all! I'm glad they are recognizing superior achievement!
Posted By: BamBam Re: 1 of 34, in the world. - 11/26/16
He's not even my kid and I'm proud of him, outstanding!
Posted By: IndyCA35 Re: 1 of 34, in the world. - 11/26/16
I didn't red all the posts and maybe this was already mentioned.

If he's 1 out of 34, that's NOT the top .03%. It's the top 3%. So the graders of the exam can't do math too well.

does not detract from the young man's achievement.
Posted By: Kenneth Re: 1 of 34, in the world. - 11/26/16
He was one "of" those 34 to be placed in the top .03 percentile,

there were more than 34 students who take the test, my math says about 133,000 students took the test.

You not reading all the posts had little to do with your math as well as your reading comprehension.

Apology accepted.

WHOA! Has his I.Q. been tested? I'm guessing someone capable of that is around 180. 100 is average, with a standard deviation every 15 points. That IQ would be in the 6th Standard Deviation, or approximately in the same % of people with an equally as high an IQ as the % of people who did that well on the math skills test. That's quite a bit above the point picked to be considered a genius.

Congratulate your son for me. That is an awesome achievement. His future is indeed bright.
Posted By: Slidellkid Re: 1 of 34, in the world. - 11/27/16
awesome
Well done and sincerest congrats all around.
Is the fine and gifted young fella looking at any sort of "Sabatical", or is he a workaholic ?

That is an understatement Seafire...just as my post was. In this age of "Google" kids can get a credible answer to ANY question in a matter of seconds off of their smart phones. They have lost the ability to read for comprehension and their math skills, as a whole, just plain suck. Kenneth's son will be highly sought after and courted when he completes his Master's or PhD at MIT.

Thanks for all the kind words everybody, from Matthew and I. much appreciated.
