For going RED.

I ordered 10 pounds of Bratwurst, 10 pounds of Bockwurst and 10 pounds of Knockwurst, along with 6 jars of German Kraut from there.

The Bockwurst and kraut are cooking as I type.

Man when stayed in Wisconsin for a few months did I eat. We lived right by a meat market and a cheese factory. Hole in the wall little bars that make unbelievable broasted chicken. And of course, plenty of beer to wash it down.

Brought home a $hit ton of brats and cheeses. There are a couple similar places near a spot I hunt in Northern Michigan.

It don't get any better.....

My brother and I used to go thru Wisconsin on US-2 on our way bowhunting up to Crystal Falls in the UP. I think there were more bars than houses on that short stretch.

Don't worry, Yankees still chap my ass. Never had much of a problem with Northerners though.

I'm just right proud that Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Iowa went RED.

I'll happily send my money to those states now.

You think you're proud of Michigan, I'm still walkin' on clouds Bud! Been a long time since my vote counted for schit.

Hard to beat the liberal schitholes, we did it though.

You may have to travel a few more miles after these devilish fires. My buddy and his wife lost 2 orchards thus far.

They had also just started grapes for a small winery. Took the vines off our mountain above Biltmore. The old vines came from Ireland 230 years ago.

So sad!

That sucks and something that you can't get back in a day.

I have 2 McIntosh apple trees that I planted in 2012. Got my 1st apple this fall (only 1 apple). The drought was rough on the trees.

Also have 3 Romes, 2 Granny Smith's and 2 Winesap's planted.

botboy - we are more familiar with the Zion to Kenosha area than we ever wanted to be. It IS a nice area, however. Have you seen the Civil War Museum? (don't remember the exact name)

I'm hoping to get out on my home water next weekend for some late walleye fishing. Never fished this late before and am not sure where they might be this time of year. My usual tactic is a drifting or slow trolling crawler harnesses.

Any advice? PM might be more appropriate. I've done hijacked this thread too much already.

Seriously, where do your kin folk in Pa live? If your trips bring you near Bedford County (I 99 and Pa Turnpike or I68) we could get you to an orchard here. One sells retail out of their cold storage untill spring. They have Macs, but not sure how long. $$$$ great compared to stores.

Don't be that way.

We used to keep our boat in Kenosha and we'd always hit Gander Mountain when there was only one Gander Mountain.

I actually have good memories of that state.

The wife's family is in Montgomery county, 81 to Harrisburg but thanks.

I haven't made the trip since her dad died almost 3 years ago. When her grandmother dies, that will be my next trip, hopefully many more years.

After that it will be when my 5 year old niece gets married in 25 years...

Get your deer early and go to Hurley
Posted By: ihookem Re: Thank You Wisconsin - 12/04/16
The federal court said voter I.D. is legal in Wisconsin, then it goes red. How bout that? Wisconsin is a red state. Example. In 2004 presidential election, Kerry took Wis. by 5,000 votes. Looking into further numbers, we find that Milwaukee had more votes counted than registered voters when we all know that only 80% of voters go to the polls. Milwaukeee is 75- 80 % democrat. This is how they won Wisconsin. And aint it funny how the Milwaukee newspapers dont publish those numbers anymore.

I don't think anyone can go in there and spend less than a C-note.. They've won more awards for various sausages than probably any other place in the state..

I go there twice a year for, ah, 'supplies'... laugh

You are 100% correct. I fish all almost winter, Ice fish in Winter, drink Lienies Honey Weiss in More winter and in Road repair season, I head for the Alabama Gulf Coast, and sit on the beach with a Margarita. That's the way to enjoy retirement.
