I'm gonna be a grampa! My son's wife is pregnant. No idea weather it's boy or girl yet, but the order's all ready in for a youth model .243. One of those Muddy Girl stocked bolt jobs would be really nice if it's a young lady. Can't wait to spoil the little brat rotten. If it's a girl, she'll be pitching fastpitch by the age of 8.

My middle son tells his boys that I am not the same man he grew up with but rather an old man trying to get into heaven. Bastid...well, he might be right. <grin>

I'm pretty sure we've talked softball before. I was "forced" into retirement when my daughter quit playing, and have missed it ever since. My coaching days are over, but I sure miss watching her play. The early mornings on the first day of a tournament, the long rides home with a van full of worn out girls sleeping off the exhaustion. The endless hours of pitching practice, clinics, lessons, and then there's the cost-guess I don't miss that all that much.
