There is a belief among some people today that MLK was this peace loving preacher, who only wanted freedom and equality for his people.....and on top of it all, he was a REPUBLICAN. Praise the Lord!!! MLK was a Republican alright, just like most Negroes were back then. Those that bothered to vote at all, voted for the "party of Lincoln", the term that they used to describe the GOP. It wasn't until well after the Civil Rights struggle was over that Blacks began to flock to the Democrat Party, and that was because the Democrats bought them with welfare, free housing, food stamps, and special rights. MLK was under the watch of the FBI because of supposed Communist activities....something that has been swept under the rug so as not to tarnish his "image". He was a known womanizer, as one poster pointed out. You can bet that if he was still alive and kicking, he would be right there with John Lewis and the rest of the "bruthas", and boycott Trumps LEGITIMATE win in the election. Also.....he would have changed over to the Democrat Party years ago.

MLK was for the advancement of the Black people. If he had come out and said that affirmative action needed to be the law, it is doubtful he would have gotten the support he did from the Northern, Midwestern, and Western Whites. He realized things had to come a step at a time. You better believe he would have been a Hillary supporter, just like he would have been an Obama supporter.
