Same here on the ice. The major roads are clear but a lot of side roads in residential areas are nothing but solid ice 2-3" thick. If it wasn't so corrugated folks could play hockey on the street in front of my house.
But even this is still a lot better than those two lousy winters I spent in upstate NY. Ice storms and white outs were not unusual. I remember one fun morning driving to work on a solid and very smooth sheet of ice all the way. Upstate NY is hilly so lots of uphill and downhill grades. It took over an hour to do the 15 miles since my max speed was about 15 miles per hour and even then there were a few "interesting" moments rounding corners.
