Heitkamp and Manchin (Ds) voted for him; CooCooCollins (RINO) voted against. 52-46.

I'd like to think of this as the death of the EPA

Bring in the Toyota Hilux!

"Mr. President, if ISIS can run these vehicles why are they not available to the American public?"

Manchin seeing the light. grin

Manchin is trying to save his ass in 2018. Heitkamp is staring at a pipeline and jobs and knows her ass is in the fire if that stalls.

Collins is setting up her defection to the Ds.

Wait for the Pruitt/Russian sanction talks...

I don't see WV electing anyone much further center left than Manchin.

No, Manchin is trying to keep his seat from an R challenger in 2018.

Heitkamp is in trouble, and she knows it. Hopefully, we will elect a right-wing conservative in 2018. I don't know why she ever got elected in the first place in this state, other than her family name recognition.

I read the EPA wonks are in full out revolution mode.

He won't be able to fire a bunch of them but he can reassign them to sit in a dark basement all day.

EPA is going to leak like a sieve with fake news from the liberals for the next year or two, maybe longer.

Getting rid of political appointees won't clear that agency out, it's full of liberals from the ground up. And firing gov't employees is very hard.. so he's got his work cut out for him.

Can't fire them outright, but they can start eliminating positions. Works about the same.

Oh, I so, so hope so.

I absolutely hate dealing with those petty, smug, small minded little bastards.

Needs to be massively downsized anyway.. just overdo it and then you can hire the good folks in.

i just hate it when a new employee is hired, and led to a desk, and assigned that position. they sit there and rot for 30 years, and then the security guard comes to escort them out of the building.

lot's of bureaucracy's effectiveness could be benefited by an overall catharsis of the system?

i'm just betting that a lot of the rank & file employees inside such bureaucracy's would agree whole heartedly if they were ever asked?

How about they tax wind and solar like they do on every friggin' gallon of gasoline . . . they should pay their "fair share".
