My Niece down in St Pete lost her three month old son. The boy was fine when they put him to bed last night. He was fine at 3 AM, when she changed him, and fed him.
He was dead in his crib though this morning. No apparent reason. They tried for 14 years for this child, and he is gone.

sadly, the story has gotten worse. The mother, after caring for the baby in the middle of the night, went to sleep in another room for whatever reason.
The father, hearing the baby still crying, put him in bed with him, and went to sleep. The baby was found dead in bed with the father, not in the crib. This is a disaster.

if anything good can come of this, I pray that it's that folks won't sleep with their infants in the same bed. That is what killed this boy.

20 years in EMS and I'm at peace with 99% of the calls I have ran, only the SIDS calls eat at me anymore. This is even more true since I have a 18 month old son.

One would need either a scintilla of compassion for others or enough brains to know when to STFU. Sadly, some have neither.

Wow, I just re-read the OP, had a lady at church who's son, lost his grandson, today. Woke up and found him, doing an autopsy. He would have been 4 Months March 2. I suspect perhaps SIDS. IDK.
