Yup, bunch of butt hurt biches.
NPR should hang their commie heads in shame. I am going to ask my Congressman (Ted Yoho (R-FL) to look into defunding NPR.
National Putrid Radio is pretty much irrelevant.
Interestingly, most of the comments are directed at defunding NPR... Works for me...

Yeah, let it become National Private Radio.
...It begins to feel like we are in an abusive relationship, and that we’re putting ourselves out there to be attacked...

JHC! She should try walking in Trump's shoes and see what it feels like to have every "journalist" blatantly lying about you, attacking you and giving their extremely biased opinions couched as "objective news". I would say pot, meet kettle, but in this case the pot is far worse than the kettle.
Agreed Jim. It's an abusive relationship for sure. Like most any criminal, MSM always blames someone/thing else than their own actions for the result they reap.

Like the Palestinians, they need to stop beating up the other guy to ajchieve detente - they don't have to like the opposition, just be honest ( not even "soft") in their dealings.

So true. I bet she said it in that low, soft, patronizing "NPR voice." 😉
I've been an advocate of Trump designating who he is going to allow show up to press conferences.

Those anti Trump networks don't respect them, then let them be excluded. That ought to help their ratings...
Hinajosa is just one more of the lib shills on NPR. The difference is that she is loony and dumb enough to go on record with such a stupid idea.

While NPR does not receive any direct federal funding, it does receive a small number of competitive grants from CPB and federal agencies like the Department of Education and the Department of Commerce. This funding amounts to approximately 2% of NPR's overall revenues.[20]

On Saturday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “AM Joy,” NPR and PBS host and Futuro Media Group President Maria Hinojosa argued that “there should be an attempt, when there’s a press conference called by the president, that no one shows up.”

Hinojosa said that the mainstream media keep sending “top talent, to be completely insulted and disrespected by the president of the United States. It begins to feel like we are in an abusive relationship, and that we’re putting ourselves out there to be attacked. So, I would say once again — and I know this is difficult, it’s a challenge, but can we just get the interns, with their note cards, to start asking the questions to a president who is acting so immature? And this is not in disrespect to the interns. But, maybe they will be around the same age. ”

She added, “I think we should choose when are they going to go for a briefing, but I don’t think that we should — I think that there should be an attempt, when there’s a press conference called by the president, that no one shows up.”

This is exactly the attitude and hyperbole from the drive-bys that results in Mr. Trump calling them out as enemies of The People!

Good, then they won't miss the taxpayer funding they ought not receive in the first place.

Like Planned Parenthood, who ought not receive a dime of taxpayer funding either.
Just more typical horse sh_t from "National Propaganda Radio" I refuse to turn that on in my home.
Outside of their "news" shows their weekend "fun" broadcasts are all in anti-president as well. Shows like "wait-wait don't tell me" used to make fun of a wide variety of topics...maybe avoiding Barry o'bummer, but hitting on everything else. Now, the show, the whole show, and nothing but the show is a POTUS slam.

Fuggh you. you transparently commie POS's.

You will (NPR) NEVER get a donation from me.

PS. I dearly love the local pieces, old time radio, and science Friday (except for climate change political pieces). Get a grip and leave the communist BS for the tenured professors that you couldn't quite become...at least try to report something that equals the 'news'.

I hope The Trumpster continues to flog the press and that each flogging becomes more and more brutal. You'd think they'd come to realize they're dealing with someone who they just aren't going to browbeat and push around, but I'm not holding my breath. The media's a bunch of arrogant pricks who have yet to learn that they truly are a bunch of dumbasses.
Most of the politicians who ran against, and had their ass handed to them by Mr. Trump in the Primaries, have let by gones be by gones and get along royally with the Trumpster now. The drive-bys could do the same thing and all would be forgiven. But Pelosi and Schumer will bow down to Donaldus Maximus before the drive-bys do.
Since congress controls the purse string and can't seem to get anything else done they need to defund this arm of the propaganda corps.

They'll probably wait for Trump to do that too though.

Fixed it for you...

I voted for Trump. Not as a second choice...and feel free to vet my posts here and elsewhere, exactly for this. This is the thing the 'media' can't seem to grasp...WE DON'T BELIEVE YOUR SHCIET...YOU ARE NOT US....YOU ARE MISTAKEN about our values....

Prepare yourselves to convert, or die (metaphorically for now) by your own arrogance. You were mistaken in you estimation that this Country is willing to give up it's greatness or it's identity.
NPR is the PSYOPS division of the Propaganda Corps.

Death throes. ;-{>8
If they didn't show up, no one would notice. Trump would say what he wants to say and we would all just move on.
I used to be an avid listener of NPR news in the morning and evening. I stopped listening specifically over their coverage of news presidential conferences. What got me turning them off was they were not covering what was said by the Republican president. All you got to hear was the Democrat reaction. After 20-some years of listening, I turned it off and never went back.

My point is, having them out of the press room would be no loss to anyone. They can get all the news they want to broadcast from Liberal Senators and LooneyTune Moonbats. Why worry about them.

BTW: They're shutting down one of the local NPR outlets, WNKU and the moonbats are screaming that Trump is responsible. Truth is the station could not keep its head above water and had not been able to compete for decades. Of course all you have to do is log into Pandora and tell it you want "Bluegrass," and get all the music you want without the lefty propaganda.

NPR and PBS are both failing propositions. Nobody watches or listens anymore. They need to be defunded.

They have an inflated opinion of them selfs.
They need to be defunded and the stations aken over by Fox! grin
Another thing that needs to be looked in to, is that around here any conservative radio station, that carries Rush and others like Him, soon have other stations crammed right next to them. You can't pick them up for any distance before another station bleeds over their signal. Been happening for a long time. You find a station to listen to, and before long you can't get it. Still there, you just can't pick it up, and have to find another. I have one ace in the hole, that is an AM station that I can pick up a long way from its source. I dare not name it for fear of losing that source. miles
winning, the fewer of them show up, the more direct the message becomes...and the untrusted lying media loses even more viability. win /win

ahhhh,... maybe not. A little too close to being a first amendment thing. JMHO.
I think Trumpster should take over National Public TV and use it for unbiased information since the tax payers are footing the bill anyway, it would be nice to always know what the president is doing. He can have a press conference and decide who will be there, what questions will be asked and who is going to comment after the press release. It would be nice to hear Kelly Ann Conway commenting on the press release instead of some liberal nut case that can't wait to try to make him look wrong, or like he lied. Or, we can just defund it all together.

I got a news flash for those scumbag snowflake liars. If you're so butthurt, don't show up at all.. ever. No choosing when you want to be there.

We and President Trump don't want you there, period!!
There is one main problem I see with what she said. There is no way in hell the msm can stay away from a Trump presser. They obviously don't know it yet, but he has 'em hooked up with a big ole barbed treble hook. They are hanging on his every word and he knows it. Trying to keep the media away would be akin to getting all the illegals to self-deport. It ain't happening.
G5m: I did not donate to, work for or vote for Donald J. Trump to get any personal satisfaction from him winning the Presidency - but I am enjoying this ongoing MELT DOWN of liberal leftist loons so immensely I am starting to feel a bit guilty over it!
I mean I am RELISHING their pain and public manifestations of lunacy.
npr is lawn fudge and I could care less what they say or do other than to keep on entertaining me with their liberal mindset mental disorders and public displays of same.
GO TRUMP!
Hold into the wind

You get your facts from Wikipedia? The only people I know that listen to NPR are hard core Democrats/Socialists. On NPR's website the latest year they show who they are funded by is 2014:
http://www.npr.org/about-npr/178660742/public-radio-finances
1) Federal, state and local taxes-5%
2) Colleges and universities-13% (Democrats)
3) Individuals-34% (more Democrats)
4) Corporations-19% (more Democrats)
5) CPB(Corp. for Public Broadcasting,funded by Congress)-13%
http://www.cpb.org/funding/

NPR is just another provider of Democrat propaganda like PBS.

Uh, I'd bet good money that your station has a mobile app and you can stream live content over cell or wifi. If you're in the car and have a bluetooth head unit you can bluetooth the station from your phone to your car's stereo.
So many of these NPR stations are major leeches all the way around. 3 of the 4 public stations in our town are affiliated with universities. You think: "Ah! Campus radio run by the students!"

Wrong. I worked at the campus radio station at the University of Cincinnati, WFIB. It was a poorly funded, poorly supported AM station while next door was the big, lavish studios of WGUC. Students did not run the latter. Few students worked even worked there. It had a huge budget and big transmitter and they broadcast NPR and classical music 24 hours a day. The student station ran on next to nothing and could barely reach all the dormitories.

The NPR-affiliated station's only real attachment to the University was that it broadcast all the big performances of the College Conservatory of Music. However, it sucked up a whole lot of money doing so. Most of it went to pay for the NPR network programming as well as live classical programming from around the world.

Go Trump
