I would like to thank those of you who have reached out to me. Thank you for your prayers and concern.

My nephew Josh was killed Saturday afternoon in a Jet Ski accident at Saguaro Lake east of Mesa, AZ. The bass boat went over him and his body did not resurface. He was riding with a friend who, along with the occupants of the bass boat searched frantically for him but to no avail. The family had began a vigil at the lake on the fishing dock adjacent to the search area. We had lots of support from friends and family.

This has been especially tough for the family as 13 years ago while cleaned up the ditches at my cotton farm in Safford, Josh's then older brother, who was 12, was killed when my ATV flipped over on him and my son.

MCSO recovered his body early this morning so the family can have some closure. I have attached a short article that was published in the local news site this morning.

I don't know how his mother can take losing two of her children...

I know losing my brother when he was 16 and I was 17... I've never gotten over that one..

Grief is a very sort word; it is more a sound to describe pain that is unbearable. My heart goes out to you and your families.

Damn, what a tough story. Makes you wonder about life, and death, and the meaning of it all.
So sad to see a young man killed, he had his whole life before him. Very sad.

It has been hard on the families. It has been really hard on the guy driving the bass boat and I don't think he could have done anything different.

Thinking of you and yours tonight, Dennis. I feel certain that everyone is staying close and holding tight.

We had the viewing last night. The mortuary did a great job on him to even allow an open casket. He had a LOT Of trauma and facial/head injuries. It wasn't a perfect face but at least people could say good by and it was a big deal to his mom.

About 2000 people came through and said good by. We'll see how the funeral goes this morning. Might be a tear jerker. My sons were pretty tore up yesterday. I hope they can hold it together during the funeral.

This has to be a wrenching ordeal with difficult moments. Thinking about all of your family today - praying - peace for all. Stay strong, bud.
