China and SK are huge trading partners now. A unified and prosperous Korea would be a windfall for them for trade and commerce (think of the development opportunities for Chinese companies)

A unified Korea would be independent and no need for US troop presence for forever.

No one seems to excited, if a war kicks off the South Korean army will be up front considering we have a company worth of Soldiers on the DMZ. The US Army has a artillery bde at Casey and they are MLRS. There is only 1 US Army heavy bde in South Korea and it's a rotational bde. So again if a war is looming it's going to be the ROK army doing all the fighting until reinforcements show up from United States.
