I confess to being a dinosaur that lives under a rock, the modern age has passed me by, my level of ignorance of things electronic knows no bounds. grin

We recently purchased a Samsung 54" tv, it sits in our living room about 16-18 feet from where I reclinerize. On some channels, I cannot get enough volume out of it to be able to hear it well. Other channels are fine.

Is there any such thing as a set of speakers I can hook up to this thing so I can get enough volume out of it, that is, without breaking the bank and needing a degree in electrical engineering to get the dang things hooked up ? No, I am not deaf and dont need hearing aids. grin

All suggestions appreciated.

Thanks
You can get a sound bar that is plug and play for most tv's

If the TV has blue tooth on it you can get a set of speakers to put over by you.
A good sound bar plugs in direct to the tv. Program your controller such that the sound bar volume and the tv speakers volume are on the same controller buttons to raise and lower the volume.

Works well. Sound bar =80$.
