Under normal circumstances, Perdue would be safe, but the Dems are fired up over their near success at the governor's race, and in grabbing Ga's 5th District (on the second try) that they are rumored to have targeted Perdue with Abrams and will funnel enormous funds into the race. This SOTU rebuttal is to showcase her for fundraising purposes nationwide as an "up and coming star".
