I just got an email from them saying that I am currently in 3rd place, with 592 votes, and am only 105 votes behind 2nd place. They must track by IP, so those bots must not be making much difference.

The 1st place winner came out of nowhere only 3 or 4 days before, with professional photos and a rifle full of contest sponsor parts. Then, they ended the voting almost 5 hours before it was supposed to. Kinda leaves a bad taste in my mouth, but I really appreciate all the help you guys gave me.
Noticed the last time I read her little blurb That the reference to the companies name in the parts was omitted from the original blurb when She 1st took over numero uno.

Yup rigged and I'd venture to say they (the sponsors) rigged it as it's a woman with full tactical lever decked out in all their wares....double framed photo also Fixed for sure in my opinion

We're awaiting final results from Rivetworks IT who monitors for any fraudulent submissions or voting irregularities. During the contest, they had already identified three people who we notified and removed from the contest. One of which had a video entry and was in the #1 spot and the red jeep guy #2 and both were removed on 2/24/19. We had tons of others try to submit photos not belonging to them and they were not approved.
So before we award the current winner Natalie Dinnerson who entered 2/14/19, the IT team is looking at the voting to make sure nothing amiss took place. They can tell very easily when voter fraud takes place. If it did, she will be eliminated and the #2 would win (as long as he did nothing wrong). At that point, the winner needs to sign paperwork for their 1099 and then Mad Pig Customs will ship them the rifle and Aguila Ammunition will ship them the ammo.
I can assure you that we tried to do everything in our power to make sure the contest was managed properly. That's in addition to paying for that expensive Mad Pig Custom custom-built rifle.

It is a shame that in such a small industry there are companies like yours that have no moral or ethical bone. I am sure you could careless that I took the time out of my day to write this complaint. But like fighting for my gun and hunting rights I make the time. As I make it a point to support those companies that are straight up. Thank you for your time.

Or perhaps Ms Dinnerson (assuming Ms is really a Natalie and not some Nathan wanting a new rifle) really did have bots working and put those parts on hoping to get a nudge from the sponsors.
Whatever it turns out to be, it seems bringing the issue to the forefront has straightened someone/thing out.

First off, I can assure you that we have nothing to do with Ms D or her submission on 2/14. I am more than livid with her and the other cheaters that were removed.
I can also assure you that neither our company nor Mad Pig Customs, who built the rifle and has it at their shop, nor Midwest Industries who provided the handguard, nor Aguila Ammo conspired to fake or rig a contest. We all have excellent reputations and would never sully them to stoop down so low.
I am keenly aware that those on the leaderboard were watching very closely. On 2/24, we heard from two and had Rivetworks do an audit. Top #1 and #2 were removed from the contest. In hindsight, we should have sent an email out to all explaining why they disappeared, to reconfirm the voting rules, and to remind people that Rivetworks IT would be doing a final audit before any winner was declared. We also could have asked people to come to us directly. See something, say something.
Most of Ms D’s votes came in the last 1.5 days of the contest. As such, Rivetworks could not audit until Friday. They took much longer than I liked for sure. Delaying the announcement of the winner until 6pm ET.
This was our very first contest and our first use of Rivetworks IT for one. While the system can’t do real-time auditing the bad apples were weeded out. And as you note, an honest person won the contest (and by a relatively large gap). In fact, the winner came to us directly re. the contest ending early. Seems, Rivetworks set the end time to UPC Greenwich vs. 11:59pm CST.
So I’ll take the blame for a non-perfect contest. And for not communicating better to ensure full disclosure. But there was no conspiracy. And no one is angrier at the cheaters than I am.
There should be an email going out soon to all participants with some discount codes.
