Sukiyaki has always been my favorite foreign song. I remember it when it came out, and remember a cousin who was learning how to play it on his guitar. He was killed in a farming accident soon afterwards.

Gosh, that's been a long time, about 55 years. But, every time I heard that song, I think about him. By the way, the singer Kyu Sakamoto, was killed in 1985 in that Japanese plane crash that killed over 500 people, the deadliest plane crash ever.
