Tried a search, maybe it's not as common as I thought?

Is there something I can do to quite my Nova's forearm, it's noisy?

The whole forearm rocks slightly and makes a noise Love the gun, but it cramps my style having to be careful to hold it still so it don't rattle if I'm trying to be quite.

Thanks!

Kevin
Turkey hunters have tried to quiet down the rattle in the Nova forearms but to my knowledge haven't come up with a good fix for it as of yet.

The best I've personally seen was the use of felt tape.

not much you can do for those danged things, and the reason I don't own one as a turkey gun.

If you find a fix, let me konw.
To be completely honest though, I've never had my Nova rattle so that it spooked a bird. I make a lot more noise moving into and setting up into position than the forearm could ever make. Once set up my hand is on the forearm controlling its movement, noise and motion.

I hunt with several custom turkey shotguns and one is a Benelli Nova. The forearm is, to many, an issue but it's not a show stopper in the reality of the turkey woods.

Thanks,

I will see what can be done and post it if i find something handy.

At first glance it looked like some thick little O-rings slid in with the rails and held with the rail screws might help?

A soft forward stop might also help, as well as the felt tape.

Thanks again!

Kevin
Took a look at it, since it's not that big a concern, it dose not need much of a cure.

Took a length of saddle-string (lace-leather) and tied it in there, you have to try to get it to make noise, and only a slight drag when cycling the action either direction.

It fits like a glove!

Just looked at mine, haven't ever used the gun much.

It rocks side to side, but no noise to speak of
