I am going to bed my 700 Mountain in the factory wood stock and I have a couple questions. I have never done a wood stock or a Remington, anything special to look for or that I should do, or is it pretty straight forward?

I have bedded Rugers, Savages, Winchesters and all were synthetic stocks. Never a Remington or wood stocked rifle.
Afterward, be sure the bolt stop is clear -- if you bed that side the channel will be filled and you will have to Dremel it a bit to keep the bolt from pulling out (when you cycle the bolt).
Make sure it's set up properly or your DBM won't work. Everything else is the same.
Thanks guys.

Karnis, how do I make sure that it is set correctly? I guess you are meaning that it does not set the action too high thus making the DBM unable to engage or feed?

With it being a wood stock, do I remove/shave wood from the bedding areas or just drill anchor holes and scuff the area up good?

Thanks again
