I bought one from Ernie for a new Ruger and it dropped the pull down to 4.5# so I clipped coils and worked the trigger and got it to a crisp 3#. The spring was a fair amount longer than the original so the clipped one was still plenty long to stay in secure and tight.

Wolf Springs says they are thevsame as a 1911. Brownells
ships internationally give them a try.
