I have a winchester model 70 featherweight .270 win that is about 25 yrs old. I am having some accuracy issues with it at the present time. I cleaned the barrel out really well for copper build up. I plan on taking it back the range to shoot a few rounds to see if I can get it back on track again then I plan on reloading my own ammo. I also put a new Leupold, base rings on it just prior to this years hunt so everything is new.

If this does not help then I plan on taking the gun to a smith to have the barrel looked at to see if it still good or not.

If the barrel needs to be replaced, then what would the average cost to have a new barrel put on?

Any recommendation on gunsmiths in the SLC, Utah County area?

Thanks for any info that will help!
Lock, Stock and Barrel, about 2500 E and 7500 S in SLC would be a good place to start.
Thanks, I will look into them.
I can vouch for Lock, Stock, and Barrel also. Prompt and quality work.
