I am looking for a good deal on a stainless 708 take off barrel, Remington model 7 or 700 mountain rifle couture.

Any one here have or know of one?

I just dropped off my parts to my smith for assembly. Before I left he took off the barrel and trigger so I can sell it. Barrel is a stainless steel 7-08 off a Remington 700. I'll measure and mic it later if you're interested.

Using POS calipers its a smidgen over 0.7" at the muzzle and 23" not including the threaded portion.

Suggest you make some calls to gunsmiths near you and custom barrel makers. Pacnor, Hart, etc. and ask them. Some of those guys have take off barrels just laying around. Good luck.

There is well over a hundred on Gunbroker right now for next to nothing.

Actually there are two 7mm-08 barrels , on GunBroker right now , one is an AI . neither are Stainless !

I offered one privately - 7mm-08, Mtn contour, 22" stainless - but my price was too much.
