In a recent clean up, I found 4 actions screws and don't know what they are for. Meanwhile, I have an 03A3 Springfield and an Arisaka and don't have action screws for them.

Looks like 2 are 1/4"- 26, 1 is 1/4"-28 and 1 is 1/4"-30.

Is there a reference book with a chart or a chart on a website that will tell me the different thread pitches that various manufactures use?
1/4"x28 is Remington 700, weatherby,Mk V,Dakota & savage 110

1/4"x30'is Winfield

If your 1/4"x26 is really 1/4"x25 it is for 1903 Springfield/ Krag

Good info. I don't have a "25" on my thread gauge. They do not go in my Springfield.

Any books or web sites with this info??

I can believe I have an extra 700 or 110 screw. I have no idea where the Winfield came from.
That would be Enfield, between fat fingers and iPad spellcheck it came out Winfield?
I have an extra set of Springfield action screws. PM your address and I'll send them to you.
Bolt Action Rifles by Frank DeHaas It not only has the various action screws, but also the barrel shank dimensions. There are a few editions, but any will work for the older guns and milsurps. Mine is at home.
