Hey all !
I have a Savage Model 10 in 308 Win barreled action that has a problem with the actuation of the safety. It seems to be stuck in the fire position and won't move. It shows no rust or damage. The barreled action has been sitting in the gun safe for about 3.5years with a de-humidifier on inside the safe.
Any ideas before I ship it to the 'smith?

Did it work when you put it away? I would suspect that it did not work then either.

There is a set screw back there that takes up the proper distance so the trigger can not go off. The accutrigger is a little different but still has one.

Take a look - I would guess it needs adjusting.

what trigger does it have? Old style or accutrigger? Pretty simple design, lots of pics on the web and youtube.

It's an Accutrigger and it did work previously, just a little tight.
