The guy I got this from thought there was a screw missing, but I can't figure it out. Release works fine with bolt in the rifle, but falls off when bolt removed.

Hoping someone might be able to tell me what I need to fix it.

Short but succinct response from Heymusa "We don't carry parts for these Mauser actions."

So I am still for info on fixing or replacing.

Would the Browning FN bolt release work? It looks very similar to the Heym.

Took the Heym to a gunsmith in Tucson last week and we came the agreement that what is currently on the rifle is a hybrid mess between an original Heym release and something else. But a mess that kinda currently works, "Just don't take the bolt out." So I guess I am stuck looking for the Heym mauser bolt release edition of a needle in a haystack, though he did think I would have a chance of getting a Browning FN release to work.

Open to any other ideas or a place to find some parts.
