What is the best way to get it out? Just re-D&T and call it a day? Anyone have a easy trick smile Rem 700 if it matters..

I don't think there is a universal best way. I have used edm, left hand drill bit, center cutting end mill. they all have worked but do cause a bit of anxiety. never tried the chemical method.
Drill a hole down the center with a much smaller diameter bit, then use a left hand bit to pull it out.

I've had good luck using this technique except I've always used an ez-out instead of the left-handed drill bit.
I have the proper carbide endmills that I use. I'm sure it ain't the only way.

Well its out but needs re-tapped. And of course I don't have the proper tap. What are the threads?

If it's standard...a six by forty eight. powdr
Brownells has a kit that you just drive the broken screw through the action if possible and shear off the threads.. Then retap for the screws supplied in the kit..
Easy....

I freehanded a small drill hole and then used a screw extractor.

This was against the advice I received here. Guess I got lucky - it's better to be lucky than good sometimes cool

Sometimes you can use a prick punch to turn the broken screw stub out.
