Kinda just venting here.
The retaining pin is stuck good. I soaked it overnight and that didn't work. I used a little heat and that didn't work.
Trying to keep calm, so maybe a double Crown when I get home...
8-10 hour soak in apple cider vinegar (just the end with the stuck pin, not the whole bolt. The vinegar will remove any and all finish, and if you let it go too long, it will start to attack the steel itself, so just keep an eye on it), followed by a soak in a good penetrating oil for the same amount of time. Then go with the heat. If that doesn't get it, then it may be drill time.

Is it pre-64? Post? That pin needs to be driven out toward the front if pre-64, not sure about the post. Redneck?
Driven from back-to-front.. Some can be a bit tight.. I use a slightly modified (shortened) pin punch to get 'em started - then the rest is easy..
Thanks guys, it's out now. Made a new punch and soaked it overnight. Popped out this morning. It was a well weathered post 64.
