I see other people who use Krylon webbing paint in their stock painting projects--it looks really good. But none of the retailers around here who carry Krylon paints stock it.

Can anybody provide some advice on sourcing some?

Sometimes you can get it at JoAnn's, Hobby Lobby or Michaels.
I bought a can in black about a year ago, but they don't show black being available. I would have purchased silver, but they were only showing black and gold then.

I've seen it at some craft stores such as Hobby Lobby or Michaels.
I ordered it from Joann's and got the black, gold, silver and white. Just wish there was other colors
Michaels stocks it. Never have seen it at Hobby Lobby locally. The 4 colors listed above, black, white, silver, and gold, are the only ones it comes in as far as I can tell.

I will try Michaels. It is not in our local HL or Joann's and Joanns website does not show black. I would rather avoid shipping it in, if I can; shipping from amazon costs more per can than the cost of the paint itself.

thanks for the help.
I want to spider Web paint my Ruger American Rimfire stock. I would like the base paint to be gray. What rattle can brand might be best?
I used Krylon with Fusion as it was made for polymers.

Ed, make sure you clean it really good with a strong solvent to remove all the release agent and sand it with no finer than 400gr. first. Of the 18-20 stocks I've painted (mostly with Krylon Fusion) the only two that had the paint come up were both Ruger Americans. Both started on the stock where my cheekweld was, I think due to sweat.

How about a quick rundown on procedure that you used to get your stock finished.
Prep,
Paint brand
Paint colors,
Paint layers.

And of course it didn't happen without pichurs
Krylon over Krylon on a B&C.

Same thing over wood.

Around here, neither the Joanns, Michaels, nor anywhere else carries it in store.
I would look for Aervoe for the base coat.
