What are the options for a 3 pos safety for a zastava mauser 98 in stainless steel, i know Stuart Satterlee does one but has no stock atm, anyone else do one?
I would check with Jim Kobe.
David Gentry.
Years ago I wanted a stainless bottom metal for a mauser but could not find one. So I convinced Ted Blackburn to make me one. How? By acquiring the piece of steel needed and getting it to him when he was machining a run of the type of bottom metal that I wanted. Ted was a very nice man!!!! May he rest in peace.

So, find out who is making what you want in regular steel, and then provide them with what they need to make you one in stainless steel. It might be more than just the steel. You may need to provide some specialized tooling as well if the tooling they are using won't work for the type of steel you want to use.

One more thing. You need to be the one that takes the risk.
By that I mean that you will need to agree with the maker that if things don't work out you will still pay him for his work.

If you do those things - buy the material, and take the risk, you may be able to talk a maker into making you one.

Stu Satterlee is also a very nice guy. Very nice! Maybe you could find out if he will do a run of his safeties and get him some steel. Can't hurt to ask. Worst he could say would be no.
