Daughter shoots a Tikka 7mag. Anybody ever shorten the stock? She has a Tikka compact in 7mm-08 and a Tikka hunter with a shortened stock. I know we could go to A Boyd's or something like that but want to keep it as light as possible.

I use a power miter saw to cut wood and synthetic stocks. Since it is a rifle stock, after cutting the synthetic to the correct size, I use epoxy to attach the recoil pad as I don't plan on removing the pad. If the pad needs to be replaced some time later, I just cut it off and replace it.
