Just wondering what is the best recommendations for bedding one I normally use devcon my main question is should I install pillars or just bed the action

I normally just bed the action. I'm sure Devcon will work fine, I've done them with numerous other epoxies with no problems for the most part. Be sure to rough up the surfaces to be bedded, they are slick and smooth as they come and you may not get good adhesion.
Brownells Acgriglass
I'm a devcon guy myself, but let's face it.....it's heavy. If I were doing a lightweight stock and needed more than a .030ish" skim or had to fill many larger voids, I'd use something like west 105 and microballoons to fill it and add some 30mil tape to the bottom of the action to give room for the devcon.....a lot of work, but it is a lightweight stock getting bedded with heavy epoxy.

Ever use SuperFil for voids?
I have only used devcon and Miles Gilbert bedrock I have both the stock fits quite well really close haven't tryed the bottom metal yet tho
Dudley,

Mark Bansner himself says there's no needed to pillar-bed his stocks, since they're so solid through the action-screw areas. But he ends up doing it for many customers because they believe it's absolutely necessary. I've never pillar-bedded one and all the rifles shot just fine.

Acraglas is to soft, JB Weld is better than acraglas. I use Devcon steel or Marine Tex
Drill out the gaurd screws and use the bedding compound for pillars. I have used Devcon steel in the manner but don't see the need to.
