Hey Guys,

Ive got a brand new Mod 70 Super Grade, 7mm-08 and am having some disappointing feeding issues.

First the gun feeds and ejects fine...if operated normally. However, if intentionally short stroked, the cartridge falls out of the extractor and lays in the action, waiting to jam the works. It looks like when the cartridge is pushed out of the magazine, it goes under the extractor blade but not all the way so the extractor doesn't have a firm hold on the cartridge rim. Pushing the bolt into battery of course ensures its all the way under but its eventually operating as a push feed. Is this a common problem on the current production model 70s? Id like to avoid sending this back to BACO if possible...

EDIT..Found this link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cKSTTo1pqy8 and while this a ruger its sort of doing the same thing except that mine will pull the cartridge back an inch or two before dropping it into the action.
The extractor merely needs a bit of tensioning, most likely.

Remove it and gently bend the tail section inwards about 1/8" and try again.. Readjust as necessary until it retains grip.
