Searching for a Timney trigger for the Rem 700 custom I'm planning to build and I keep seeing these pop up. I have a couple Timneys on other customs and like them a lot.
So, what is the difference between the 510 and the 512? Seems they both fit the 700 but?????

Or is there something better for similar money?

I think the 512 is nickel plated. The 510 is the standard blued. Have you considered the Calvin elite? I've read they are very nice. Or look at triggertech. I like factory tuned triggers just as much as the 510. What you building?

That is what I thought, but I saw a 510 on ebay advertised as Nickel plated so I got a bit confused what was going on?

I'll check out the other triggers, but for the money it's hard to beat the old Timney 510/512.
