I am leaning towards a Lothar Walter barrel. Will the barrel come blued or do you have to have the smith blue it.

Is there another barrel l would want to consider?

I have a Lothar Walther 98 Mauser barrel in 7.5x55 Swiss that is a very good shooter. It came "in the white", but required minimal fitting.

Built mine on a FN commercial and used a shilen #3. And its a shooter for sure.

I cheated big time on mine. Found a Husqvarna Model 146, 9.3 x 57 with an extremely excellent bore. Bought a chamber reamer. And one slow day at work, co-worker and did some reaming.

Turned out pretty nice.

Still got the chamber reamer around here somewhere if you wanna borrow it.

I cheated too. Found a Husky x62 barrel and had it turned into a x64 and fitted to a 1909 Argy!
