Thoroughly cleaned my step fathers Ruger Mark 2 rifle. I did strip the bolt to clean the firing pin assembly and bolt body. Everything went back together without any drama. Now the trigger won't trip the sear? Cock it and the trigger does nothing? What am I missing?

Did you screw the striker assembly all the way back in? Sounds like the safety is on or something is hanging up the trigger.

I have it out of the stock currently to continue to test for function. Nothing. I can't imagine screwing anything up. Unless the thing was adversely affected by cleaning the the crud out of it.

The safety moves freely to all three positions.

Fixed. Seems as though a tiny nut had worked itself completely off and was just "resting" inside the mechanism. Threaded it back on and achored it with some nail polish. Great snag! That would have ruined my step dads season.
