Found a Marlin 1894 CS 357/38 , serial number indicates rifle was made
in 1996. Gun is in 99% condition and has never been fired, also has great
looking wood. Thanks for your help.
It would probably sell for about $700+ over at the Marlin chatrooms if it is verifiable marlin built with the jm stamp onthe barrel which this one should certainly have.
What's the barrel length?
It does have a JM stamp, barrel length is 18.5". $700 is what I've got
them down to, and seems a fair price.I'll go pick it up tomorrow.
I doubt it will everdo anything but go up in value! Try that with a new set of golf clubs or a new car!
Thanks for all the help, she will be a shooter not a safe queen.
