I have some lengthy questions about Winchester 88's.

Is there an 88 guru that I can contact thru PM's???

Your help is appreciated!!!

I've owned a few, do most of my deer hunting nowadays with a M88 in .308 WIN, will be glad to help if I can (not a guru though!)
I'm not a guru, either, but have owned a dozen or so of the things. Done some stock work on them, too. If I can help, let me know.
I've owned 5, still own 2. Not a guru, but I'll help if I can.
did you pick up that 284???
I own and deal with win 88's quite a lot, but not an expert. If this is about the 284 rebarrel, I think that was a fair price for a shooter 88. Check to see if the clip is a 284. The only down size for the 88 in 284 is the bullets have to be seated very deep to fit in the magazine. 150 gr bullet is about as heavy as can go. Mine really like the 139 gr horn bullets. I can assure you they make great deer rifles. Let me know if you have questions.
