I have one lever fun with a leather 1" sling on it. A tang safety 95, 30/06 ctg. I obtained it used and someone had put uncle Mike QD studs on it. It's a higher quality sling with buckles on each end like you might find on an old
African plains rifle i guess???
As a side note, for some reason this rifle is the best pointing, carrying, offhand hunting rifle I currently own. It simply fits. Even better than my old
Browning '95. And they are from same factory.
You showed it to us at Armjio Springs this year, I believe, and I assume this is the '95 that you said you liked even better than all those original Winchesters you showed us!
I am trying one of those sliding loop shotgun slings on my 1873 clone that I showed you there. Maybe Hunter brand? I forget, but nice quality. Though it tends to slip over the lever from time to time, it does not require installation of studs. If it doesn't work out, I'll just slip it off in use, or use it for shotguns.
