Love this forum, learning a great deal as I anticipate gearing up for solo hunting the Adirondacks.

Are there other sites I'm unaware of that I should be following?

Thanks guys!
Not a hunting site per se, but backpackinglight.com has a lot of good info. You just have to wade thru "gram counter's junk" it to find what applies to hunting.
kifaru.net
Accuratereloading.com has a forum but it doesn't get much traffic.
Kuiu

May contain hunting but focused more on SHTF scenarios.
The bug out gear forums is worth checking out.

LongRangeHunting.com has a backpacking forum: http://www.longrangehunting.com/forums/f61/

Trailspace.com is another that may be of interest.

Neither is as robust as 24hourcampfire though.

Just find out this site has many great review.
Thanks for the leads & links all.

Looks like a lazy afternoon of reading ahead wink
Great links. I'll second kifaru.net. Although I don't understand why there isn't more activity on the Kifaru site.
The essays posted there are worth the effort alone.
Like others have said, Bowsite has some good'uns come along once in a while. Cameron Haynes from Eastmans has done his share to make some backpack hunters out there.

The rate EdT is going, I wouldn't be suprised if he has a UBB forum before too long wink
On the Kifaru forum a good place to start is a group of threads that are collected together as a tribute to Timberline.
