Have any of you guys ever put a stovejack in a Black Diamond Mega Light and run a wood stove in it? Is it to small of a tent to put a stove in? If you did use a stove, I was curious how it performed? Thanks.

My 1st wood heated shelter was a Mega Mid back in the 1980's.
I have put wood stoves in shelters as small as GoLite SL 2's. The sizing of the stove is important. Too big and it will cook you out.

Something like the Mini Canister I make, or my smallest roll-up cylinder will work fine.

If you want to build you own stove, Hill People Gear has a good instruction on making a canister stove:

I've seen some of Evan's (Evan Hill of HPG) pics of a mega lite with a stove in it, he'd be the right guy to ask.

Thanks guys. Ed T,I just finished making a 12" stainless roll up stove today. Came out real nice, I'll test fire her up in a couple days. I think it should be the perfect size for tent the size of a ML or SL3..

I ran a Megamid with a Kifaru Medium stove in it for several years. That combo could get hot enough to blow you out from time to time. Some of the pictures on this tutorial are from that megamid:

There is really no lower size limit. After careful deliberation of "if" and "if so, where", I put a stove jack in a GoLite Utopia 2. I run the canister stove posted elsewhere in this thread in it. That thing is my favorite solo shelter. Love it.
