Need a little help-

My son is making my life a bit hard, I have very little experience with Asolo boots and these are the boots he wants. I read mixed reviews, but the biggest thing is comfort. He's 13 so they wont be on his feet long as he's growing but have a 10 year old who can use them a bit later.

Will be used for hiking and climbing but more so all around hunting boots.

I have Kennetrek, Danner and Whites boots, how do they compare?

Width, true to fit etc...

Thanks

I have used Asolo Sassalong. My impression is that Asolo uses a narrow last compared to Alico which fit my wider foot better. Because both your sons will grow out of the boots before they wear them out, I would recommend you go to Sierra Trading Post .com and look at their closeouts. I assume the boys still have smaller feet so there is a great selection in the smaller sizes. If you are looking for size 10-12 you have to jump on them pretty fast. The internet chatter is that Asolo quality has slipped now that the boots are made in China like most manufacturers. Alico are made in Italy.

Thanks bobmn-

I will look at Sierra Trading Post, the size is 7-7 1/2. Both have narrow feet which isn't bad but, If I can buy from elsewhere than China for a boot I will go in that direction.

Again Thanks

My exp. w/ Asolo midweight goretex boots has been very good. The comfort and wear issues are equal to any boot I have ever owned. Lowa and Asolo fit my wide forefoot and narrow heel sizing better than all others. I find the gtx boot w/ gaiters get me through most terain year round. REI stocks some of both for fitting. Good luck, have fun hunting w/ your kids.
